Membership Committee

Mission

As an organization, we affirm the shared vision and personal willingness on the part of volunteers to express their own creativity through activities with the DLA.  Honoring these motivations ensures maximizing our members’ enthusiasm and participation in DLA’s growth and development.  

Duties and goals of the Membership Committee include: 

• recruiting new members at meetings and events
• engaging new members in DLA activities
• keeping member information up to date and maintaining its privacy
• seeking participation and leadership in all multi-family buildings and neighborhoods in Downtown Raleigh 

Committee Meetings & Events

The Membership Committee meets as needed, but approximately every six weeks, to explore new ideas and plan events in support of its mission.

Committee events are listed on the DLA Event Calendar. 

Committee Advisor

Anne S. Franklin has lived at Park Devereux eleven years and has been an advocate for downtown living for several decades.  She's a former Raleigh City Council member who stays active in a wide variety of community activities focused on public transit, the arts, community design and environmental protection.  She's a community organizer by trade, having served as a manager, trainer and consultant for multiple non-profit, political and government organizations.
