Who Are the Purple People?

Have you seen the purple people walking around downtown Raleigh wearing a purple shirt that says Ambassador on them? Did you know that they are walking the streets to help you downtown? I know it’s genius: someone downtown that you can ask for directions, help you find a parking garage, or help escort you to your car when it’s raining.

Wake Relief, Providing Emergency Food for Those in Need

Wake Relief is an all volunteer ecumenical organization committed to providing emergency food for Wake County residents in need. Established in 1975, it is open every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and one Saturday a month, in the basement of St. Saviour's Center, at 616 Tucker Street in the Glenwood South District.
